3.3.5 Open Interest Scanner

3.3.5.1 OI Scanner Overview

The Open Interest (OI) Scanner sorts stock tickers by the number of open contracts on the chain, the total OI change from the previous trading day, and the total OI change as a percent of contract number from the previous trading day. The default view sorts by total OI in descending order.

3.3.5.2 Controls

The controls filter the lists by minimum total OI count, only puts, only calls, or both total puts and calls, and allows you to select a results count. Clicking on each header above each list sorts by that criteria, and clicking on it toggles ascending and descending order. For example, if someone wanted to find the stock with the largest negative % drop in total OI from the previous day and filter by only stocks that have at least 600,000 open contracts, the top value as of 11/22/2025 is KVUE, which has 1.2M contracts and a decline of 47.98% from prevous trading day (large expiration).
